Day Services support people with disabilities, older people, and people with dementia. We do this in our centres, and through outreach teams. Typically, Day Services are open 9am-3pm, Monday to Friday.
We are ‘person centred,’ which means we put the person at the centre of everything we do. That means we ensure someone’s care needs are met, and help them develop and maintain friendships, and enjoy activities. Examples might be swimming, joining a choir, crafts, cooking and dog walking.
Care Dorset has 13 Day Services, with some specialising in specific kinds of care such as dementia.
